With their signature blend of dream pop, shoegaze, and unflinching emotional honesty, EGOISM’s debut album “And Go Nowhere” has arrived as a powerful soundtrack to the confusing, chaotic, and strangely beautiful process of becoming an adult.
EGOISM is a three-piece independent dream pop emo band from Sydney’s Inner West made up of Scout Eastment (she/her), Olive Rush (they/them), and Adam Holmes (he/him). Known for their shared lead vocals, raw storytelling, and a sound that evokes equal parts euphoria and introspection, the band has steadily built a loyal fanbase worldwide through relentless touring, critical acclaim, and a trail of heart-on-sleeve singles.
Released in May 2025, “And Go Nowhere” is an album about overcoming the paralysis of early adulthood – the fear, the confusion, the quiet victories. It explores mental health, societal pressure, and the joy of finding clarity through music.
Now, the band shares “Addison Road” as the album’s focus track, a late addition that immediately felt like the missing piece. From the shimmering textures and hushed confessionals, “Addison Road” is an uneasy mix of desire and regret that defines so much of youth.
The band have toured with artists including Half Alive (USA), Teenage Dads, The Rions, Middle Kids, Last Dinosaurs, Hatchie, Upsahl (USA), Eliza and the Delusionals. The band has also performed at BIGSOUND Music Festival, and have been nominated for FBi’s Song of the Year and Next Big Thing, and became Australia’s triple j Unearthed’s 11th most played artist of the year.
EGOISM will tour Asia this year – their first international run with an announcement coming up really soon.
